Emerging Leader Opportunities at Americans for the Arts Annual Convention
Since the inception of the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Network in 1999, more and more emerging leader-related activities have taken place at the annual convention every year. This year at Living Cultural Democracy: Arts in Changing Communities, opportunities for emerging leaders to be engaged took place everyday, everywhere. You couldn’t walk around the corner without running into one of the Emerging Leadership Exchange participants or recipients of an Emerging Leader scholarship. Networking was abundant at the Emerging Leader peer group meetings on Saturday and Monday, and at the Emerging Leader Reception on Sunday night. Finally, the national recognition of the importance of the next generation of emerging arts leaders rang true at the presentation of the first-ever Emerging Leader Award. See more about these activities below, or join us next June at the Americans for the Arts 2007 Annual Convention in Las Vegas, NV. It's Vegas baby! and the emerging leaders will be there.
For any additional information contact Jamie Bignall or call 202.371.2830.
