Topic: Cultural Tourism: Regionalism

A growing trend within the tourism industry has been to focus regionally on an area’s cultural appeal. Programs and initiatives that package a region’s history and cultural contributions, such as the American South’s musical history, have become increasingly popular and profitable. Rural communities can benefit greatly from regionalism because it enables them to pool resources and assets that span a broad geographic area.
