Priscilla Rodriguez is the executive director of the Brownsville Heritage Complex and oversees operations of two small museums and a resource center. She also oversees operations of a community cultural center in the Buena Vida neighborhood, one of the most under-served neighborhoods in Texas. Currently, she is working with the City of Brownsville to rehabilitate the old city market and turn it into an artist co-op. She serves on the council of the Texas Association of Museums where she is crafting their emerging leader initiative. She also serves on the Expanding Relations committee for Americans for the Arts. Additionally, she is on the board of Amigos Artistas, a group that works towards bi-national appreciation for Latin American art. She is a co-founder of Cameron County Creative Alliance, an informal alliance of emerging leaders representing a cross-section of the cultural community in South Texas. She is a grant panelist for Texas Commission on the Arts and was the 2007 recipient of the Award of Excellence in Museums by the Texas Historical Commission. Priscilla enjoys writing and collecting art in her spare time. Priscilla received her B.A. in American studies and M.A. in political and comparative sociology from Stanford University.
