Americans for the Arts Public Art Network (PAN) develops professional services for the broad array of individuals and organizations engaged in the expanding field of public art. More than 350 public art programs exist in the United States at the state, local, and national levels. PAN connects the field by stimulating dialogue, discussing critical issues, developing public art products and services, and providing information through the website and the PAN Listserv.
The 2009 Public Art Consultants List (pdf, 945KB) is now available. Names were selected from an open call process conducted through PAN in spring 2009. The list is a reference tool for organizations and communities seeking a qualified public art professional for programs and/or projects. The list will be updated - stay tuned to the PAN listserv for the next open call. Special thanks to Council member Martha Peters for developing and producing the consultants list.
Tune into current articles and news about public art from around the world on the Public Art Network blog! Developed by PAN Council member Kendal Henry, the blog is a resource on current public art information including featured projects, news from the field and a Q & A section.
