The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville promotes community awareness of cultural activities and issues, supplies arts education programs to area students, and provides funding and technical assistance to its affiliate organizations. Education projects include the Artist in Residence program for the Duval County Public Schools which impacts 1,200 middle and high school students in 15 schools. There is an Art in the Jail program where art, writing and drama are taught to juvenile inmates.
