April M. Harris, MHA, MBA is a healthcare professional committed to improving health outcomes using evidence-based research. She has worked in public health as a researcher and administrator for more than 15 years in nonprofit and academic settings. April spent more than 10 years as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where she served in several leadership roles including chapter president with the National Capital Healthcare Executives. Her career has included strategizing and implementing programs to improve public health where she has used her organizational and financial management skills to successfully navigate grant funded projects. These experiences have provided managerial and leadership growth, allowing her to support and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the City College of New York, a master’s degree in Health Care Administration and Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
