PROJECT OVERVIEW
Originally commissioned as part of Project Pop-up Pittsburgh: Downtown, Toby Fraley’s Fraley’s Robot Repair: Pittsburgh International Airport Branch is a faux storefront that emulates an antiquated repair shop – for robots, of course! Robot Repair reinvents an empty storefront at the end of Concourse A, and invites viewers to imagine a future where humanoid robots are integrated into our daily lives. Details large and small are animated and changed periodically during this temporary exhibition, as the lead character, 'The Lonely Robot', finds creative ways to occupy his time while his shop owners are away.
