Description:

Robert Rahway Zakanitch was commissioned to design and create second work for the Carnival Center, a semi-transparent scrim, serving as a veil for the organ in the 2,200 seat Concert Hall. Titled Green Lace Scrim consists of five overlapping layers. The subtle green of the scrim enhances the interior colors of the space and provides a visual backdrop to the wide variety of musical events that take place in the Concert Hall. Depending on the choice of stage lighting, the scrim is able to transform from a pale green with hints of aqua blue to a vivid green, which glows throughout the hall during musical performances.
