Communication and Information Management in the Nonprofit Arts Sector
GENERAL
This report by Barry Hessenius presents us with survey findings about the behaviors, protocals, preferences and perceptions of arts organizations and administrators when communicating within the workplace, including how they use and manage information. Hessenius makes the distinction between information and knowledge as he seeks to understand how seemingly infinite information and sharing platforms impact our communication styles: our sharing preferences, as well as our ability to receive and process information. Hessenius uses variables such as organization life-span, annual budget and focused discipline to show us communication trends throughout arts organizations.
