Economic Incentives: Theater and Cultural Planning
GENERAL
Special supplement to the Journal of Cultural Economics. Selected papers presented at the conference L'economie du Spectacle Vivant et L'audiovisual, Paris, France, October 15-16, 1985.
The author details some of the difficulties in expecting the live arts television industries to work together. At both commercial and community levels, there are major difficulties in incentives for cooperation. He discusses the possible role of the university to bridge the disciplines. With such and incentive, he argues, local programming would become more widely available to local audiences through local television.
