This article reports on the status of individual giving to arts organizations and the efforts by these nonprofit institutions to attract individual donations in Southern New Jersey. There has been some success in Southern New Jersey to raise individual contributions with examples provided by local arts groups. However, they are still trailing the efforts of their counterparts in Northern New Jersey and, according to a study by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, New Jersey was the state that ranked last in individual contributions.
