GENERAL

Research Abstract
Media Resource Guide

This study guide will lead you through the basics of media relations and discussion of more specific problems and issues. It can be used for individual study or as a workshop guide. Here are some suggestions on how to get the best use out of the study guide. The goal of the Media Resource Guide is to help individuals identify themselves and their organizations as sources of information which will be valued by newspeople as media resources.

The Media Resource Guide deals with the social issue of access to the news. You can tell your story through the news process, but only if you know how to get the attention of newspeople and how to present information in interesting and usable ways. (p. 2, 3)
