The Arts & Business Council of New York has unveiled its Employee Engagement program, but what does that mean? Businesses that want to succeed and be creative are looking for ways to retain employees and inspire creativity, innovation, team-building and more.  Whether it is an individual volunteer opportunity, pro bono consulting, or bringing the arts into the workplace, partnering with arts organizations can offer many valuable benefits to business employees that lead to greater recruitment, retention and innovation.

To utilize volunteers effectively and fill an organizational need, it is crucial to strategically identify, scope, and manage your volunteer projects. In this workshop, you will learn about tools and resources to help you run a successful project and have your volunteers coming back for more!

Presented by the Arts & Business Council of New York in collaboration with the Foundation Center.

How can you tailor your organization's message to create deeper engagement with volunteers? Arts organizations will learn effective ways to engage and retain their business volunteers with the goal of creating long-term advocates for its mission. Attendees will work through three steps of volunteer engagement: Engagement beyond the first interaction; Education as a basis for building advocates; Expanding volunteer commitment to the next level.
