Nominations Open for Advisory Council Members

Monday, September 19, 2016

Beginning today, Americans for the Arts invites arts professionals from across the country to submit nominations for incoming advisory council members.

Advisory council members are local arts leaders who advise Americans for the Arts staff on programs and services concerning the fields of Arts Education, Emerging Leadership, the Private Sector and Public Art. They also use their expertise to connect the national work of Americans for the Arts to the work of membership at the local levels.

Members and non-members are welcome to submit nominations but nominees must be members of Americans for the Arts. Nominations close Friday, October 7 at 5:00 p.m. EST and can be submitted by filling out the nomination form.

All nominations will be reviewed for the ballot by current advisory council members. Incoming advisory council members for the 2017-2019 term will be established by a popular vote by Americans for the Arts members in November.
