How can we deliver futuristic artistic experiences through Community Engagement and Marketing?

Elizabeth Streb is an internationally acclaimed American choreographer, performer, and teacher of contemporary dance and movement. Her choreography, which she calls "POPACTION," challenges us rethink the interface between people, technology, and society. In her Brooklyn studio, SLAM (STREB Lab for Action Mechanics), she maintains the belief that art must be for the broad public, rather than the elite few. The New York Times recently wrote “by exploring the frontiers of performance space and creating works that reflect the spirit of our technological age, Ms. Streb is carrying dance into a new dimension.”

Streb will be our Lunch Keynote at the National Arts Marketing Project Conference from Nov. 7-10 in Atlanta, GA. Streb will keep the conference momentum going by teaching us how arts professionals can deliver futuristic artistic experiences —through community engagement, innovative marketing strategies, and new ways about thinking about art in space.

Streb will share her take on how the arts can leap fearlessly into the future. You'll hear about the importance of collaboration for organizational growth and walk away ready to take new risks in your everyday work. She'll inspire us to create and market art that is inclusive yet unconventional; accessible yet meaningful.
