Members of Americans for the Arts now have until Sunday, March 13, 2016 to nominate outstanding arts leaders from their communities for one of seven Annual Leadership Awards.

These national awards recognize the achievements of individuals, organizations and programs committed to enriching their communities through the arts. Awards are given for outstanding leadership in advocacy, arts education, public art, local arts advancement, private sector partnerships and emerging leadership!

New this year is the Robert E. Gard Award, which celebrates exemplary work at the intersection of the arts and community life. It aims to raise up projects from the last year lead by individuals or organizations working to cross the arts into other aspects of community life in meaningful, measurable ways.

Awardees receive national recognition for their efforts and will be honored at the 2016 Annual Convention in Boston, MA.

Nominees are not required to be members of Americans for the Arts, but you must be a member to submit a nomination. Check the detailed award descriptions to view the criteria and requirements for each award. You must login to your account at www.artsusa.org to submit a nomination.
