Beginning today, Americans for the Arts invites arts professionals from across the country to submit nominations for incoming advisory council members. Advisory council members are local arts leaders who work with Americans for the Arts on programs and services concerning the fields of Arts Education, Emerging Leadership, the Private Sector and Public Art.

Advisory Council Members are to advise Americans for the Arts staff on programming and services, as defined by Americans for the Arts staff, in order to build a deeper connection to Americans for the Arts members and the arts and culture field as a whole. Specific roles may vary depending on the focus and needs of the topic area for which the Advisory Council is responsive.

Nominations close Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (ET) and can be submitted by filling out the nomination form. Members and non-members are welcome to submit nominations; however, nominees must be members of Americans for the Arts. All nominations will be reviewed for the ballot by current advisory council members. Incoming advisory council members for the 2019-2021 term will be established by a popular vote by Americans for the Arts members in November.
