With the transition to virtual convenings for this year’s Annual Convention and Public Art & Civic Design Conference, Americans for the Arts has extended the deadline for voting on the 2020 Robert E. Gard Award top 10 finalist projects through Friday, May 29. All Americans for the Arts members are eligible to review the 10 finalists on our website and vote. Note: You must be an active member of Americans for the Arts and logged in to the website in order to vote.

The Robert E. Gard Award for Arts and Community Life honors projects from the last year that have integrated the arts into the community in meaningful, measurable ways. Americans for the Arts members are invited to help select the winner by voting for up to three of their favorite projects. This year, we have a wide range of finalists representing the inspiring power of arts and culture to help communities thrive.

Previous winners of the Gard Award include Southside Civic Lab, Community Arts Training (CAT) Institute, RedCan Graffiti Jam, and ArtsMemphis Community Engagement Fellowship.
