02-09-2011: U.S. House Appropriations leaders introduce a long-term Continuing Resolution (H.R. 1) that proposes to cut dozens of federal agencies and programs for the balance of the current 2011 fiscal year.  Included in the cuts is a reduction in funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) budget to $155 million, down from its currently level of $167.5 million.
