November 15–18 at The InterContinental Miami Hotel

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Americans for the Arts and The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will host the annual National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) Conference at The InterContinental Miami Hotel in Miami, Florida, on November 15-18, 2019. The largest gathering of arts marketers in the country, the conference is a critical forum for arts marketers to discuss the newest and most important marketing tools, the rapidly shifting demographics and behaviors of consumers, as well as how arts and culture organizations can best remain relevant in a time of flux and uncertainty.

More than 100 marketing experts will lead 35+ sessions on topics such as digital marketing, cultural equity, audience engagement, social media, analytics, storytelling, and growing revenue. The conference also features two preconferences on Friday, November 15, including a discussion on the importance of developing a comprehensive ADA/Accessibility plan, as well as an analysis on the demise of arts journalism in our society’s “fake news” generation.

Keynote speakers include:

“Arts marketers succeed in our persistently developing world when they have the marketing expertise to reach their publics and equitably engage the community,” says Robert L. Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts. “Recognizing and providing arts professionals and artists with these essential skills that effectively market the arts to audiences allows them to have a better chance to strengthen their economic well-being and to become partners for positive change within their communities.”

“The arts have played a catalytic role in shaping Miami into the diverse, vibrant city it is today,” stated Michael Spring, Senior Advisor to the Mayor and Director of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. “The National Arts Marketing Project Conference offers a unique opportunity for artists and arts organizations to come together and look in real time at how we can share and promote the arts as a vital cultural, social and economic force in our communities. We are proud to host this important Conference in Miami.”
