Consumers spend nearly $150 billion annually on entertainment and the arts. How does this breakdown to spending on the arts in your individual community?

Americans for the Arts launched the National Arts Index in 2010 to learn how the arts were faring nationally as the economy recovered from the Great Recession. To fully understand and help our constituents pinpoint data for their individual counties, the Local Arts Index was launched in 2012. Just this week the data has been updated for 2013!
