On Wednesday, May 28th, our President and CEO Bob Lynch keynoted the ArtsFund Annual Celebration of the Arts Luncheon in Seattle, Washington. He spoke about the state of the arts in the United States and their value to the country and to the Puget Sound region.

Speaking to an audience of representatives from regional arts and cultural organizations, businesses, and public leaders, Bob called the arts a “secret weapon” for the US economy and community vibrancy. The arts offer inherent enjoyment and learning value, and contribute to jobs and economic development in communities. But the greatest value of the arts is transformative, creating better children, better cities, a better country, and even a better world.

In addition to spending time with his ArtsFund hosts, Bob had an opportunity to visit the beautiful Chihuly Garden and Glass, and posed for photos beside some of his favorite pieces. Check them out on Instagram, #ArtsCEOLynch

He looks forward to returning to Seattle in November for the Independent Sector conference!
