Our Senior Director of State and Local Government Affairs Joins VA Commission on the Arts

Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Jay Dick, Americans for the Arts' Senior Director of State and Local Government Affairs, was sworn in as a Comissioner for the Virginia Commission on the Arts last month and will serve a 5 year term with them starting July 1, 2014.

At Americans for the Arts, Jay works on daily basis with State Arts Agencies (SAA) and the State Arts Action Network (SAAN) to promote the arts at the state level. As a Commissioner, he will have the opportunity to learn more about how SAAs function, what their challenges are, and what they need to prosper. Says Jay, "with this knowledge, I can work better and smarter to advance the arts and culture on the state level with Americans for the Arts. I am very grateful to Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe for presenting me with this opportunity."
