Arts groups are enjoying an increase in revenues and philanthropic support while at the same time there is a critical shortage of board members governing philanthropies and nonprofit organizations. This article reports on these two trends and the need for philanthropies, arts groups and other nonprofits to develop solid and diverse boards.
