America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP) is a national nonprofit that both funds and mentors community groups to serve veterans and their families. The annual 2015 Warrior Community Integration Symposium will be held in Augusta, Georgia on May 21 - 22. The theme this year is “Modeling a Better Future” and will feature representatives from several successful community agencies across the country, as well as panelists and speakers from the Veterans Administration, Wounded Warrior Project, and other organizations.

Americans for the Arts has been invited by the Bob Woodruff Foundation as an exhibitor on behalf of the National Initiative for Arts & Health in the Military. The National Initiative works together with individuals, artists, and organizations to promote arts, health, and well-being across the military continuum.

Keynote speakers include Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Sloan Gibson and Jon Scott, the host of Fox’s News Channel Happening Now. Panel Sessions include Fundraising and Grants, Crafting and Communicating the Warrior Support Message through Digital Media, and Family and Caregiver Support.  

Community Integration, a program developed by America’s Warrior Partnership to assist transitioning warriors back into civilian life, awards selected communities up to $500,000 though a granting process. Participants and potential applicants for this program are encouraged to attend the symposium. The symposium will present informational panels, break-out sessions, and ample opportunity for networking as well as information on the grant process.
