Artist Casey Reas describes his process and though behind the creation of the twin murals A Mathematical Theory of Communication that captured television signals with an antenna and converted that information into a visual representation of colored line patterns.

The work was recognized by Americans for the Arts Public Art Network (PAN) Year in Review which annually recognizes outstanding public art projects that represent the most compelling work for the year from across the country.
