In this hands-on cooking class, you will prepare healthy “re-mixed” versions of your favorite holiday side dishes that will be a hit at any get-together and that you will feel great about eating! Learn how to increase nutritional content in recipes, to make healthy substitutions, and helpful tips to follow when cooking for someone undergoing chemotherapy. 

Join us for an afternoon of knitting and Restorative Movement to foster wellness, comfort, and community. Two shawl pattern kits will be available with helpful instructors. We will end with 1 hour of Feldenkrais, a mind-body approach to fitness to improve posture, reduce stress, and discover ease in movement.

The exhibit will feature 65 pieces of work by the 2016 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Gold Award winners in all categories of 2-D and 3-D art from around the country in middle through high school. This year's exhibit will feature editorial cartoon winners for the first time. In a separate exhibit, to open the same day and time at the Department, works by students in New York City schools who were regional winners in 2016 will be featured as well. An annual event at the U.S.
