Christin joined CBCA in February 2017. She is a past participant of Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA)’s Leadership Arts program and a recipient of CBCA’s Cultural Leadership Award in 2016. Christin is a seasoned professional with 30 years’ experience in nonprofit and for-profit leadership and management. Her expertise includes strategic planning, communications, public relations, marketing, sales, development and fundraising. She has experience working with organizations in many industry sectors spanning consumer, business-to-business and nonprofit.

Most recently, she was senior director of public relations and social media for Barnhart Communications. Prior to that, she was executive director of Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC), a $1.3 million non-profit performing arts organization. Her professional experience also includes owning and operating a small business in Denver for over 10 years, which was one of Denver’s top PR firms, Schenkein, Inc. There, she led and managed teams that implemented award-winning national, regional, and local PR programs with measurable results. Christin serves on the Board of Directors for the Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library at University of Denver. Other relevant arts experience includes 13 years on the board of trustees for Colorado Ballet, including serving as a past board co-chair, marketing chair and on the executive and long-range planning committees.

Christin has been a resident of Denver since 1994, when she relocated from Chicago. She received her B.A. in Communications from Michigan State University.
