Waiting in line at the DMV is something all Americans dread. But the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration has partnered with Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) to place a short story kiosk, call Short Edition, in the Beltsville MVA branch. PGCMLS CEO Roberta Phillips says, “We want to be there for our customers wherever they are, and this partnership offers a great opportunity to get stories to people while they have an extra minute to read. Push a button, get a story.”

You can find Short Edition kiosks in other places around the U.S., including the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Penn State University, and the Free Library of Philadelphia. Read more about the partnership here.
