"In more than a decade, the Lee’s Summit Arts Council has helped shape the community’s direction in entertainment and cultural offerings, complimenting fast growth of housing and shopping centers, all the pieces which made Lee’s Summit one of the region’s booming cities.

The city now has a community symphony and theater group, building on longtime support for arts programs in schools.

Flock to Paducah’s largest block party with fun and fare on every corner in the historic Lower Town Arts District. This multi-stage festival showcases talented musical, visual culinary artists from Paducah and the surrounding region. This free 2-day festival is fun for all ages.

The dragons are coming back to Paducah's riverfront for the 7th Annual Dragon boat Festival in 2018. Gather your team or watch as the River Discovery Center hosts dragon boat races on the Ohio River. Family fun activity with a kids area and food vendors. Races run in heats beginning at 9am. Colorful dragon boats with 16 paddlers and a creatively dressed drummer race 3 races each. Proceeds benefit the educational programs of the River Discovery Center.

The McCracken County FFA Alumni present the annual Antique Gas Engine & Tractor Show, Fall Festival and Fall on the Farm. See antique engines, tractors, cars and trucks on display, many with running engines.

In addition to the exhibits of the most exquisite quilts being created today, AQS hosts a variety of special events, a vendor mall with nearly 400 vendor booths and a series of workshops and lectures. More than 5,000 quilters participate in AQS workshops and classes conducted by world-renowned instructors each year.
 

Pay tribute to Paducah's African American heritage with memorial service, homecoming picnic, salute to Black Music, golf tournament and fashion show. Special events will provide a means of inspiration through reflection on a history of achievements.
